Image of the Day: Street Sign Typo?

On Route 322, there is a street sign that reads, "Desisners Dr."
I believe this is a typo, and that someone misinterpreted a lower-case g with a lower-case s.
The sign is located near the business Designers Studios in Centre Hall.
On their web site it is listed as Designers Dr. ... oops!

Image of the Day: Peter Max's Expo '74 World's Fair Stamp

The 10-cent Preserve the Environment commemorative stamp commemorates Expo '74, which was held in Spokane, Washington, at the time the smallest city to have hosted a world's fair. The theme for the fair was preserving the environment. 

The stamp was designed by Peter Max and was issued in sheets of forty, with an initial printing of 140 million.

In 1921, Edith Wharton (1862-1937) became the first woman to receive the Pulitzer Prize, awarded for her novel The Age of Innocence. In that work and many others, Wharton portrayed a moneyed, materialistic society whose conventions restricted and destroyed the desires of its members. T

The Edith Wharton stamp was issued in 1980. It is part of the Literary Arts Series, engraved with purple ink.

Image of the Day: 3-cent Statue of Freedom Stamp

The Post Office Department released a 3-cent stamp bearing an image of the Statue of Freedom on April 20, 1950. The statue sits atop the dome of the United States Capitol. The stamp was the first in a series of four stamps commemorating the 150th anniversary of Washington, DC, as the US capital. 

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing produced the stamp in bright blue on the rotary press, using the electric eye plate and 11 x 10.5 perforations.

I just received my new on-campus parking pass . . .
that uses the incorrect reverse version of the (old) Penn State Mark.
The parking pass is good through June 30, 2018.
(sigh)
